Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Retoucher to join the wholesale post-production team at one of our customers who is a major fashion retail brand in NYC. As a Senior Retoucher, you will be responsible for retouching daily 150-200 marketplace ready images for over 20 wholesale channels. You will be working closely with the creative team and reporting to the Head of Creative. Your main responsibility is to ensure that all images meet the brand’s high standards of quality and consistency. The successful candidate will be an expert in using Photoshop and other AI-powered tool Crop.photo to automate routine tasks while focusing on high-end tasks.
As a Senior Retoucher, you will work closely with the wholesale eCommerce team to ensure that the images comply with the guidelines set by each marketplace. This may involve retouching images to meet specific dimensions, changing the background of the image, aligning the flat lays to the same margins or ensuring that models meet the face cropping standards. You will have a keen eye for detail and will be able to identify any issues with the images that could result in a rejection from the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Retouch and edit product images to ensure consistency and quality across all channels & marketplaces
Collaborate with the creative team to understand their requirements and ensure that the final images meet their expectations
Use advanced retouching techniques to remove backgrounds, blemishes, enhance colors, and make our products look their best
Work closely with the Head of Creative to maintain a consistent brand look and feel across all channels
Develop and maintain retouching standards, workflows, and processes to ensure efficiency and consistency
Keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques in retouching and suggest new ideas to improve the quality of our images
Must-have Skills:
- A degree in graphic design or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other retouching software
- Excellent understanding of color correction, masking, and compositing
- Experience with AI-powered tool Crop.photo
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to spot imperfections
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00–$120,000.00 per year
